Tile floors are a durable and long-lasting material. Tile can withstand a lot of foot traffic and years of use without showing many signs of damage or wear and tear.
Backsplash

Backsplash is, essentially, an extension of your countertop. It can be a few inches above your countertop or all the way to the ceiling. The purpose is preventing water, grease, and other messes from damaging your walls, particularly behind sinks and stoves.
Shower Lid

Shower Lid is a waterproof barrier used to protect against water damage. If your showerhead sits well below the ceiling, then the choice for a shower lid is a personal one. If your bathroom tends to get humid or you are installing a steam shower, you should tile the ceiling to protect against moisture.

Shower Pan

Shower Pan is a waterproof barrier made of vinyl that is formed into the shape of a pan. It's placed under the tile floor of a shower. The purpose of the pan is to catch any water that may seep through the tile and grout and direct it to the drain.
